Systems/Network Administrator

Job Summary:

Hewes Marine Company is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator to work in our established, growing local manufacturing company in Colville, WA.  The Systems/Network Administrator position will report directly to the Management Information Systems Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will need to manage, maintain and implement expansions of existing network infrastructure, support end users and systems as well as all additional networked equipment. This includes some hardware installation, repair, and network cabling.
  • Ability to create detailed documentation, implement and follow backup methodologies with DR training of key personnel.
  • Verify, update, and create forms on all key business SOP’s with attention to detail, focus, and time management.
  • Maintain the server room which includes keeping it tidy, safe, and functional.
  • Must be willing to learn new skills as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience:

  • MCSA required with at least 4 years of experience with managing and maintaining an Active Directory infrastructure including working knowledge of 365 services, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WDS, and other related roles and services.
  • CompTIA A+, N+, MCP, CCNA and other certifications will be taken into consideration.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • MRP/ERP system experience desired.
  • Some Java, Visual Basic, C++ experience desired.
  • Must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and multi-task.

Graphic Designer

Hewescraft welded aluminum fishing boats have been built in Colville, Washington since 1948, and although the brand has become the #1-selling fishing boat in the Pacific Northwest, the Hewes family has kept its production facility in the town where it was born. Job Summary:

Hewes Marine Company (HMC), the maker of Hewescraft boats, is seeking a talented Graphic Designer who will (under the supervision of the Director of Marketing/Sales) create print and web advertising messaging, point-of-purchase materials, newsletters, sales presentations, dealer bulletins, brochures, and other marketing materials to support the sales of the Pacific Northwest’s #1 fishing boat manufacturer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with HMC’s Sales and Marketing team to create and revise marketing materials from previous iterations, rough draft, or from scratch.
  • Create and evolve an integrated, consistent, up-to-date look and feel, and common visual theme/tone that will enhance and effectively communicate the Hewescraft brand.
  • Plan and execute advertising pieces from idea generation, to message development, and delivery.
  • Prepare materials for final delivery (manage styles, embedding/link files, create interactive PDFs).
  • Participate in photo and video shoots to provide assets for print and electronic media.
  • Create and coordinate an effective social media campaign.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing material quality, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Partner with outside design and production resources as necessary to produce high-quality print and electronic marketing materials.
  • Design, produce, and modify sales sheets, dealer manuals, and owner’s manuals.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Marketing/Sales.

Education/ Experience:

  • BS/BA in Graphic Design, Production Art, Desktop Publishing or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in similar design positions (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
  • Excellent knowledge of print and website design, layout, and production
  • Self-directed with excellent time-management skills
  • Able to multi-task in an environment of shifting priorities
  • Able to work well in a team environment with all levels of management
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Production Laborer Position

Hewes Marine has a great employment training opportunity! We are seeking a Production Laborer who will perform manual labor tasks and work within other production departments as needed.

MRO Buyer/Receiver - Materials Department

Hewes Marine Company Inc. has an opening for a MRO (maintenance, repairs, and operations) Buyer. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to purchasing and receiving guidelines and policies.
  • Submit purchase orders and obtain computer-generated confirmations.
  • Order all requisitions for maintenance, repairs, tools, supplies, and consumables.
  • Create and maintain a tracking system for all requisition.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Investigate and correct damaged or incorrect product deliveries. Resolve issues with suppliers.
  • Track equipment that is sent out for repair.
  • Participate hands-on in all warehouse functions.
  • Complete spot and monthly inventory counts as well as data entry.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Achieve and maintain safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing
  • Experience with Microsoft office and Crystal Reports preferred
  • Must successfully complete forklift truck certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. with no restrictions.

Warehouse Worker I – Materials Department

Hewes Marine Company Inc. has an opening for a Warehouse Worker I. This is an entry-level manual labor position.

Responsibilities:

  • Unload freight from trucks and common carriers.
  • Complete receiving paperwork accurately.
  • Stock shelves.
  • Complete inventory counts.
  • Distribute materials to appropriate departments.
  • Operate fork lifts, hand trucks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Organize and clean warehouse
  • Complete all warehouse functions per direction and company guidelines.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals as set by department Lead and/or Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

  • Must successfully complete forklift operation certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. with no restrictions.

Shipping I

Hewes Marine Company Inc. is seeking a Shipping I laborer to work in our established, growing boat manufacturing company in Colville, WA. This position performs shipping functions and operates material handling equipment such as a forklift and overhead crane. This position will directly report to the Shipping Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Product loading
  • Product shipping preparation – including protective covering
  • Maintain a clean warehouse/worksite and equipment
  • Work with others to complete assigned tasks
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals as set by department Lead and/or Supervisor

Education/Experience:

  • High School graduation or Equivalent
  • Must successfully complete forklift operation certification within 14 days of hire
  • Hand and pneumatic tool experience
