Assembler Position

ASSEMBLER POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Local Manufacturing Company is seeking an individual to assist in hand assembling electrical harnesses and panels for the marine industry.  Candidate must have attention to detail throughout the assembly process and uphold high quality assurance methods.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to perform repetitive work
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed procedures
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read wiring schematics and blueprints
  • Previous hand assembly experience preferred
  • Understanding of electrical concepts a plus

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:

40 hours a week, overtime as needed

Monday – Friday, days and shift times vary.

SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:

Depending on Experience.  Starting at $14.00/hr

6.66 hrs/mo.  10 days Accrued leave+ 2days sick leave. Apr & Oct.

Data Specialist

Hewes Marine is looking for an individual to fill a full-time position within the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department as a Data Specialist.  Key areas of responsibility will be maintenance within the company’s product data management system, with specific emphasis on documentation control and bills of materials.  This position reports to the MIS Supervisor.

Hewes Marine is the leader in the marketing, design and manufacture of aluminum fishing boats within the Pacific Northwest.  The factory is located in the beautiful Inland Northwest providing endless opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting product data management functions within the company’s ERP system
  • Creation and maintenance of company documentation control systems
  • General administration functions with ERP system
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems, ERP Bills of Materials, and database administration, with additional consideration given for experience within the Macola ERP system desired
  • Experience with engineered bills of materials, drawings, and supporting documentation systems desired
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and Crystal Reports
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications and adapt to process changes
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be self motivated
  • AA degree desirable.

Compensation

  • This position is a full-time, hourly position at Hewes Marine Company
  • Wage range is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, DOE

Experienced Painter Position

Hewes Marine Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Painter. This position will support the paint department.  It is fast paced and requires someone that is production oriented.  This position is hourly and will report to the Production Supervisor’s team.

Position Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepping surfaces for painting, monitoring booth operations, and identifying flaws
  • Applying primer and finish coats using spray equipment
  • Touch-up paint flaws and damaged areas

Sales/Marketing Administrator I

Hewes Marine Company, the maker of Hewescraft boats, is seeking a Sales/Marketing Administrator who will (under the direction of the Sales Supervisor) support the marine engine sales efforts of the Pacific Northwest’s #1 boat builder. Key responsibilities of this position include the accurate processing of engine sales orders and the coordination of engine order procedures with other departments — from initial order through engine delivery and billing.

The Sales/Marketing Administrator’s responsibilities will include the following:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Hewescraft dealers regarding all engine sales.
  • Ensure excellent communication and relationship building with dealers in order to generate consistent OEM engine sales to more than 30 boat dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
  • Accurately process engine orders from order receipt through order entry, purchase order creation, delivery, and billing.
  • Inventory, track, and ensure physical delivery to internal departments as well as dealer locations.
  • Use historical data and boat order information to forecast engine model and quantity needs.
  • Follow up with motor manufacturer partners to ensure the timely arrival of all engine orders.
  • Contact dealers on a regular basis to ensure order accuracy, obtain missing information, answer questions about engine orders, and grow engine sales with a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate engine sales rebates, specials, demos, and giveaways.
  • Cross-train with other sales staff to ensure full task coverage throughout the department.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Sales Supervisor.

The following education, experience, and skills are required to be considered for the Sales/Marketing Administrator position:

  • AS/AA (2-year degree) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in inside/outside sales positions
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Self-directed with excellent time-management skills
  • Able to multi-task in an environment of shifting priorities
  • Able to work well in a team environment with all levels of management
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • High regard for safety, and excellent attention to detail

Warehouse Worker I

Hewes Marine Company Inc. is seeking a full-time, Warehouse I laborer to work in our growing boat manufacturing company in Colville, WA.  This position performs receiving, stocking, inventory, and other general warehouse.  This position reports directly to the Materials Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Unload freight from trucks and common carriers.
  • Complete receiving paperwork accurately.
  • Stock shelves.
  • Complete accurate inventory counts.
  • Distribute materials to appropriate departments.
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Organize and clean warehouse.
  • Complete all assignments as directed and in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals as set by department Lead and/or Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in retail, warehouse, customer service, stock keeping, or shipping/receiving
  • Six months of experience operating material-handling equipment
  • Successful completion of forklift operation certification within 14 days of hire
  • Hand and pneumatic tool experience
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. with no restrictions

Welding/Fabrication

Hewes Marine Company, Inc. is seeking a welder with proven skills in metal fabrication that include Aluminum, MIG & TIG welding. This position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacturing products from engineered drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Position Requirements:
Desire experience in aluminum welding
Proficient in assigned welding techniques
Interpretation of mechanical drawings and sketches, including weld symbols
Working knowledge of fixturing
Working knowledge of set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Conventional and precision measuring instruments
Welding equipment maintenance
Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
Safety and Housekeeping
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Minimum Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of an internal welding test

Class-A CDL Driver

Class-A CDL Driver

D&B Transport, a trucking company located in scenic Colville, Washington, is seeking a full-time commercially licensed driver to ship boats for Hewes Marine Company, the maker of Hewescraft boats. Key responsibilities of this position are the safe operation of trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds GVWR while delivering boats over intercity and interstate routes.

This Driver position’s responsibilities include the following:

  • Load, transport, deliver, and unload boats, motors, and trailers with safety as the highest priority.
  • Drive long distances within the Pacific Northwest US, and Central/Western Canada.
  • Serve as a brand advocate and customer service representative in interactions with clients and public.
  • Inspect vehicles and trailers before and after trips and log any defects or safety concerns.
  • Manage driving routes and delivery routines so they proceed efficiently and safely.
  • Complete ELD logs, vehicle inspection/maintenance reports, and other trip reports as required.
  • Comply with all DOT and company rules and regulations.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.

 

The following education, experience, and skills are required to be considered for this Driver position:

  • High regard for safety
  • Washington State driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Class-A CDL
  • Current DOT medical endorsement
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • 2+ years commercial driving experience
